"Alright, I’m leaving," James Brown patted Sarah Grandy’s hand after resolving the issue, wanting to leave with Emily Lopez as soon as possible.
"Mr. Brown, take care," Brother Bob immediately stepped aside, showing utmost respect to James Brown.
"Uncle, I’m coming with you," Sarah Grandy said, no longer just gripping James’s arm but now hugging it tightly.
James frowned slightly and said, "Aren’t you going to play with your classmates?"
"I’m not playing. I’m coming home with you to be your mistress," Sarah Grandy declared with pride, even shooting a challenging glance at her classmates as though being James’s mistress was an incredibly honorable thing.
James also glanced at those classmates; the male classmates did not look pleased, but the female classmates, to his disbelief, all showed looks of envy. James thought to himself, not knowing whether to be speechless or amused by how crazy the world had gotten and wondering if all young girls were like this nowadays.
James glared and said, "What nonsense—are you trying to get me killed? Can’t you see I’ve brought my girlfriend?"
"No worries, she can be your wife, and I’ll just be the mistress," Sarah Grandy quickly retorted, then, eager to appease Emily Lopez, said, "Sis, I won’t get in your way. I’ll just be the mistress. Men are all fickle anyway. Even if there’s a beautiful wife at home, they still think about picking wildflowers. So, think of me as helping you out. You can’t manage alone. When the time comes, I’ll lend you a hand."
At this moment, everyone in the bar felt as though thunder was rolling above their heads, and even Brother Bob had a look of disbelief; this young girl’s brazen desire to openly request to be someone’s mistress was too much for even this hardened underworld player.
James had no choice but to admit defeat. Just as he was about to distance himself from Sarah Grandy and escape, several police officers suddenly burst in through the door, and one of them was Helen Wilson, which made James’s forehead crease with black lines.
