Chapter 62: Trying Her Luck
Serendipity Restaurant.
Standing before Serendipity Restaurant, Aurora felt her once calm heart suddenly grow restless and beat faster.
She clenched her hands tightly.
"Are you sure you want to eat here?" Josh asked, looking inside. "I don’t think the food is delicious. Let’s go to a nicer restaurant nearby. They also serve grilled meat; I’m sure you’ll like it."
Aurora shook her head. She knew precisely which restaurant Josh was referring to—where Alex often dined and where she enjoyed meals silently while sitting opposite Alex.
However, she didn’t want to go there; she wanted to come here because this place was where she could meet her closest friends.
"It’s fine. I like this restaurant..." Aurora declined Josh’s offer while pushing the door, with Josh closely following behind her.
The restaurant hall was nearly full of customers, even though it wasn’t night yet. Only a few tables remained unoccupied.
Aurora’s gaze quickly fell on an empty table in the corner. Her heart clenched at the memories of sitting at that table, which she often shared with her best friends when visiting this restaurant.
Just like that, her feet led her to the table, and she found herself standing in the best spot in the restaurant—a corner by the expansive glass wall that overlooked the street yet distanced from the other tables.
She knew the table was reserved; only Renata and her closest friends could use it. Still, she decided to take a chance today, hoping no one would ask her to move.
