Chapter 69: A Comfy Spot
"You guys are going to choke him, he’s a dragon, not a fish!" Esme complained as she held onto the hands of both girls.
Everyone had been worried ever since Wise rose from the water unconscious, but Daphne and Freya were terrible at managing it.
It was weird to see Daphne this unnerved, disturbing even. She was normally composed, but now she was shifty, checking Wise’s pulse every five seconds.
But she could understand them... they had never seen Wise like this.
They had seen his powerful side so much that they forgot that he could actually be hurt.
He was currently wrapped up in many blood stained bandages that had been soaked in healing potions, due to the many vicious injuries he had sustained.
From the time they had found him up till now, it had already been three hours, and yet he had slept the entire time.
Everyone who had lined up to thank him had even left.
She was beginning to think he would sleep the whole day, when she noticed his eyes were twitching.
Wise shifted slightly, feeling his head resting on something soft and warm. That was the reason he had slept for so long...
But the noise had gotten to him, the sound of arguing voices he could not make out. His head still felt cloudy from sleep, but he slowly opened his eyes.
