Real Heiress: Flash Marriage With Boyfriend's Uncle

Chapter 323: Matteo’s Death Truth (1)

"Lucius, I’m your father," Vladimir said with a menace. "If you kill me, do you really think you’ll find peace? You’ve spent your life avoiding bloodshed, keeping your hands clean while letting the police handle the rest. Even now, you hesitate. Do you truly believe that after taking my life, you’ll still be able to look at yourself in the mirror? No matter what you do, you can’t change the truth—you have my blood in your veins."

Vladimir had been watching his son for months, studying his every move. Despite Lucius’s cold exterior, he knew the boy was too soft for this world. He eliminated low-life criminals, but only when necessary and always leaving the real justice to the authorities.

It was a foolish way to live in Vladimir’s eyes.

Lucius met his father’s gaze with nothing but disdain. "You’re wrong," he said. "I’ll find peace because for this, I have already sacrificed more than you could ever understand. In fact, the only thing standing between me and peace is you."

"You built your empire on the suffering of others. The selfish principles you live by have destroyed families, taken innocent lives, and left a trail of corpses in your wake. If you believe you’re walking out of here alive, then you’re a bigger fool than I thought, Vladimir."

Luca stood nearby, silently observing their exchange. The weight of Lucius’s words, the hatred simmering in his voice—it made him wonder what kind of life he had truly led. But now wasn’t the time for reflection. He remained on high alert, gripping the rifle as he listened to the crackling in his Bluetooth earpiece.

"Luca, is everything alright there?" Roger’s voice came through the other end.

"Yeah. We can still hear gunfire in the distance. How many are left?" Luca asked, keeping his eyes on Lucius and Vladimir.

"We’ve taken care of everyone," Roger replied. "We’re heading your way now."

Luca hummed in acknowledgment, then turned back to Lucius. "We’ve won," he said, his voice steady. "The fight is over. Should we take Vladimir in, or do you want to deliver the final judgment yourself here?"

"We will go to the mansion from where Vladimir started all of this," Lucius said, pulling back his leg.
