Roderick got every detail from his secretary. "She indeed has used a fake identification card to enter our company, Layla. But the question is how she did it," he asserted.
Layla watched the clips of the recordings that Roderick’s secretary had shared. "What’s she doing near the reception desk?" She murmured and zoomed the screen.
"Why is she placing a phone here and who’s this receptionist? I didn’t remember seeing her before," Layla muttered. Demitri leaned close as he looked at the tablet’s screen.
"It’s Nora," Demitri replied. "She is a new receptionist in the company," he added.
"I see. That’s why I couldn’t recognize her. But what’s she talking about with Seraphina? Are they both connected to each other?" Layla murmured with a confused gaze.
"I know Nora. I don’t think she knows Seraphina. And in this recording, Seraphina is giving something to her," Demitri asserted.
"How do you know her and how can you be so sure?" Roderick asked with doubts lingering in his head.
"Nora is a distant niece of an uncle I have from my place. We shouldn’t judge anyone without thoroughly investigating it," Demitri opined.
"If you know Nora, then call her," Roderick suggested. "Ask her what Seraphina was talking to her," he added, insisting he make a call to Nora.
Demitri pulled out the phone from his pocket and stood up. He dialed Nora’s number and waited for her to answer the call.
Layla, on the other hand, decided to speak with her father. She picked her own phone and called Darius. Excusing herself, she went to the garden as her father had answered the call.
