Chapter 292: The attitude I carry
"What? Really?" Demitri was quite bewildered, realizing at the same time, how small the world could be.
"Yes. Why?" Nora turned a bit confused.
"It’s the company where I work too," Demitri replied with a smile. "I can’t believe you also got a job there. So, will you stop working part-time? And does Mr. Morelli know that you’ve debts on you," he asked, showing his genuine concern.
The waiter arrived with their orders and asked them to enjoy themselves after setting the dishes on the table.
"Since the pay is far more than I had expected, I will leave those part-time jobs," Nora replied.
"That’s great. Let’s begin eating then," Demitri stated. It was a light breakfast– a croissant and a coffee.
"I’ll pay," Nora offered.
"Grandma will scold me. Maybe you can treat me next time if we meet each other," Demitri remarked, not letting her pay the bills. Shortly, they both made their way out.
"Then, we shall depart our ways now. But before that I would like to ask a favor from you. Please tell your uncle that you didn’t find this date good. Honestly, I came because of my grandmother. I don’t have any intention to date anyone for now," Demitri stated.
"Even if you hadn’t asked me for it, I would have told my uncle the same thing," Nora stated, passing a small smile to him.
"Thank you," Demitri replied. "Should I drop you off at your home? I suppose this isn’t your working day," he asserted.
