Chapter 109: Herforao Against the Angels
Razael acknowledged the power of the massive serpent, despite ascending to the same rank as the latter. Simply because he had just recently ascended while the massive serpent had long solidified its foundation and might even maxed out its stats, now aiming for a breakthrough to the Mythic rank.
If he has bloodline awakening of the ancient rank, then the massive serpent must have possessed the same. In addition, their elemental mana countered each other–simply put, whoever was the strongest won.
Despite all the odds, Razael was determined to bring judgement to the massive serpent. His eyes flashed with cold glint.
"Munkar and Hadriel, protect the choir. Micah and Laylah, go behind the choir and recuperate. Once you are ready, back me up. Choir, support me with your spells while trying to weaken that massive serpent from time to time." I might not be able to defeat it alone, but with you all, I am confident I can.
As soon as Razael finished issuing orders, the sentinels grabbed the ophanims and leapt towards the choir. The choir were still healing the ophanim, but then, they decided to stop and focused on recovering their mana to support Razael. After all, the ophanim was already healed, and with the aid of Razael, they managed to cleanse the poison.
Razael then pulled out from his inventory a peak Rare grade sword and unsheathed it. He then coated it with mana condensation and closed his eyes.
The golden sword was already radiating a blinding light, but when he closed his eyes and chanted a prayer to activate his magic skill, it intensified, almost blinding the other angels. They were in awe witnessing Razael’s current power. If it was not for the Sentinels, summoning a barrier that blocked the light from blinding them, they might not be able to see what was in front of them.
Razael then spread his six wings and flapped upward. He chanted another magic skill once again and his wings were suddenly blessed with golden light. Levitating in the sky, he finally scrutinized the appearance of the massive serpent.
Herforao halted and tilted his head upward, staring at the golden light in the sky. It reminded him of the luminari Kaiju battle. That guy can’t attack from a distance compared to the angels earlier. Herforao concluded and activated a magic skill that coated his body with his poison.
