Chapter 61: Advanced Dagger Mastery

Kaiju settled Snow and Little Gorilla to a shade of a gargantuan tree. He sat and leaned his body backward, resting his muscles and back, causing some knuckling noise to reverberate. He closed his eyes from the hysteria and rested for a while. Snow and Little Gorilla’s presence were by his side, enjoying the relaxing moment as well.

After resting a while, Kaiju asked the system to show the descriptions and the effects of the advanced dagger mastery. Kaiju could still remember the brief description of the basic dagger mastery.

{Advanced Dagger Mastery: Phantom Blade Technique

Description: This advanced mastery elevates dagger combat to an art form, blending physical precision with mana manipulation. Practitioners of this technique are able to condense mana into their daggers, creating enhanced strikes that pierce through both physical and magical defenses. With heightened speed, precision, and adaptability, Kaiju becomes a blur of deadly slashes and strikes, turning the battlefield into their domain.

Effects:

Mana-Condensed Edge: Kaiju channels mana into his daggers, sharpening their edge to a near-ethereal state. This increases the cutting power of the blade and allows it to damage both physical and magical entities.

Effect: Increases damage output by 20%. Ignores 15% of the target’s physical and magical defenses.

Phantom Slash: A high-speed strike where the dagger leaves behind an afterimage of condensed mana, creating a secondary attack that follows the initial blow.

Effect: Each strike delivers an additional phantom hit, dealing 50% of the original attack’s damage.

Blade Flux: Kaiju generates an aura of condensed mana around their daggers, allowing them to extend the blade’s reach or create small, fleeting mana blades for ranged attacks.

Effect: Extends attack range by 2 meters, dealing 75% of a standard attack’s damage.
