Chapter 41: Snow’s Return
Kaiju’s mood soon uplifted from the alteration of Little Gorilla. Little Gorilla finally found a better path, a position whenever they battled. Little Gorilla was a tank support but also possessed offensive skills, making him an all rounder. Perhaps, what he lacked was agility, but it was supplemented by his staff mastery either way, making him the best offensive and defensive of the team.
With Kaiju being on the offensive but more like an assassin type role and Snow being a mage on the back, the beastmaster and his pets finally have a solid group that could even fight against others–even if they banded together. Suddenly, Kaiju had the desire to acquire another pet, but he knew how difficult it would be to obtain one. Obtaining two was by stroke of luck, and another... perhaps, he might have to rely on one.
After all, to obtain a tamed beast as his pet needed their permission. Beasts always loved to roam free, not bound by someone–their ego was as high as humans. Even Kaiju believed he did not want to be someone’s lackey, unless he owed them a lot, like how Snow and Little Gorilla felt towards him.
Kaiju was lost in his own thoughts again and was awakened by Little Gorilla’s geckering, seemingly louder than before. Kaiju glanced at Little Gorilla and the latter was facing his back against him, jumping and beating his chest while uttering the usual monkey noises. Kaiju tilted his head sideways and his eyes widened to spot Snow slithering towards them.
Kaiju abruptly stood up and even utilized his Swift Dash, quickly appearing beside Snow, startling her, and grabbed her to his embrace.
"Snow!" Kaiju, holding Snow with both of his open palms gently, rubbed his cheeks to hers. "I miss you a lot!" He exclaimed.
Hiss!
Snow responded with a jovial noise, intensifying her rub against Kaiju. Little Gorilla soon followed, embracing them with his long arms. His staff was behind his back, while wearing a beast hide to cover his private parts. The beastmaster and his pets soon enjoyed each other’s warmth for a minute, as though they were apart from each other for three months.
Qwanisha and others watched the scene filled with warmth. However, Griffin, who was not fond of cringe moments, broke it by shouting, "Let’s eat!"
