Her gaze was gentle and clear whilst her smiling face contained a faint warmth as she watched him with a fixed gaze.
“I’m not God. Does looking at me really raise your spirits that much?” He chuckled, cleared his throat, and then pinched the silent Mu Xiaocheng who cried out. His little paws caught him, catching Mu Yuchen’s hand to put into his mouth.
Mu Yuchen then picked up the warm milk bottle and fed him with it. Only then did the little fellow stop creating such chaos.
“Well, of course, Mr. Mu is a Prince Charming that can easily steal the hearts of many girls. I adore you like the sun,” she said, pursing her lips and smiling as she sped up the car.
Chuckling without a word, he only hugged his son tighter and lowered his head to plant a kiss on the little guy’s cheeks.
The car still drove on steadily. After a while, Xi Xiaye suddenly called out to him softly, “Mu Yuchen…”
“Hmm?” He did not look up as he softly responded before taking the handkerchief to wipe away the saliva at the corner of his son’s mouth.
She slowed down the car and turned to look at him as she asked softly, “I was complimenting you earlier. Why didn’t you respond? Are you tired of hearing them?”
He then looked up and met her clear gaze. A faint ripple crossed his handsome face quickly as he said softly, “It’s my honor.”
