Chapter 18: Will Advance
’So that’s also possible... but it’ll be extremely challenging for me if I have to learn Life Power and also master the technique for fully merging with an Undead,’ Oliver thought after hearing his teacher’s explanation.
At that moment, Evelyn finally stood up.
"Follow me," she said.
Oliver quickly followed behind her, while Lisa remained behind the sofa.
Their destination was a staircase that led underground.
It opened into a long, dark corridor. Oliver couldn’t see the bottom, and he felt it would be impolite to use Void Sense inside his teacher’s house—especially when she had been so kind to him.
He continued following behind her as she descended the stairs.
The lights on the ceiling turned on one by one as Evelyn passed, but each one was dim and orange—like old-fashioned bulbs.
As he descended, Oliver couldn’t help but glance left and right.
He saw many paintings hanging on the walls, seemingly made from animal hides.
They depicted various monsters, ghosts, and strange, unknown creatures.
It seemed they were Evelyn’s personal collection.
