Chapter 273: Long-lasting Kiss
Leonard struggled to remove himself from the rogue woman.
Her tongue was deeply intertwined with his. He wanted to deflect and repel the invader, only to no avail.
Her saliva coated his tongue, and she seemed immersed in the kiss.
’I can’t believe I’ve been violated.’ Leonard cried inwardly.
He was shackled by the surrounding mana controlled by Eleanor. He feared a tiny bit of manipulation could twist his body into some twizzlers.
What seemed like an eternity finally ended when Eleanor released her hand from his cheek. A bridge of saliva formed between them.
But what Leonard didn’t know was that a tiny seal was formed behind the back of his neck.
’Phew, that should be enough.’ Eleanor bit her lip softly. She reminisced about the deep kiss she shared with him.
Her action was noticed by Leonard, who felt uneasy about the act.
To be kissed by a beauty should have felt great. Unfortunately, he had no idea what this woman was truly about.
There was a saying that the more beautiful a woman was, the more poisonous she was.
"What was that for?" As soon as Leonard was freed, he distanced himself from her.
"Why are you acting like you took a loss?" Eleanor giggled.
"Because I am!"
"Oh? If I scream molester right now, who do you think the crowd will believe more?"
"..."
Leonard clenched his fist. He wanted to argue, but realized she was correct.
He was violated, but not a single soul would believe that. Instead, they would all side with Eleanor and believe he was the culprit.
Not only was this a gender bias, but it was mainly because Eleanor was considered crippled on the surface.
Could a cripple possibly violate another person?
Ain’t that the most ridiculous joke ever?
Even if it was brought to the court, the judge would dismiss the case and might even fine him for wasting taxpayers’ money.
"I’m the one with the lethal voice here." Eleanor curled her lips upward. She even smacked it a few times, almost as if she was taunting him.
No, she was definitely taunting him and savoring the kiss like a rogue.
"Let me tell you something." Leonard clicked his tongue.
"Press someone too far, and you’d end up burning yourself."
"Huh?"
Before Eleanor could comprehend the meaning, Leonard pulled her wheelchair closer to him.
Smooch!
Her eyes widened in surprise. Similar to how she had taken his liberty, Leonard now repaid the favor by doing the same thing.
But unlike his resistance, Eleanor extended her hand and embraced him.
’Damn, I don’t care anymore.’ Leonard could feel her hand tightening around his neck. He wasn’t going to back down anymore; otherwise, he might as well be identified as a woman.
A few minutes later...
Both their faces were flushed red as they pulled away from each other.
Leonard had to approach the window and open it to get some cool air.
In the meantime, Eleanor had to fan herself with her hands to cool down a bit.
’Phew, this is a bit dangerous.’ She had nearly gone all the way with him. Her clothes were somewhat loosened too.
The same goes for Leonard, who had some of his buttons removed by Eleanor.
Shortly after the breezy wind entered the room, the two of them remained silent for a few seconds.
"Um, about that..." Leonard couldn’t believe his hands slipping into hers. He was supposed to have high self-control.
But then again, it was only a natural human response. He was a man, and Eleanor was indeed a beautiful woman.
Under such circumstances, any man would have done the same.
He should be praised for knowing to stop it before any mistakes were made.
"It’s fine." Eleanor cleared her throat and murmured, "I won’t scream or relay it to anyone. You don’t have to be worried about being labeled as a lustful or horny man."
Leonard twitched his brows in disbelief.
What did she mean by that?
"Hmm, weren’t you the one who initiated that last kiss?" She rubbed her chin softly and smiled. "You nearly depleted all the oxygen in me. All I could do was respond fiercely to grab oxygen from your mouth."
Once she finished with the tease and made him speechless again, she finally moved her wheelchair closer to the door.
"We’re both assigned to Class S, and within Class S, we get special permission to be deployed elsewhere to earn credits. One of the subjects happened to be exploration. You can use this chance to head toward the Black Mire to investigate."
A few seconds later, Eleanor opened the door using mana and left him alone to ponder.
’Hah, always needing to be the one with the final say.’ Leonard slumped into the chair and facepalmed.
He was about to take his exit until he noticed a piece of paper on the floor.
That wasn’t there earlier...
He picked it up and was stunned by the information.
Dark World Tree: it fed on Null Mana and blessed the land of darkness. Dark Elves worshipped the Dark World Tree due to its natural Dark Element, as opposed to the World Tree, which was the embodiment of the Light Element.
Rumors stated that those who could receive both the World Tree and Dark World Tree blessings would be able to transcend the endless world.
’Null Mana...’ Leonard extended his palm and tried to conjure some Mana. Its color was vividly contrasted with the usual Mana that normal mages could conjure.
He had heard of Null Mana before, but there wasn’t much information available for him to study.
All he knew was that no humans managed to successfully control Null Mana, which was said to be the highest potency.
After all, Null amounted to nothing, but simultaneously, it could amount to everything.
Every journey began with zero, commonly referred to as null.
Leonard controlled the Mana in his palm for a while before closing it.
His eyes flashed in a cold light. "It seems like I should apply to depart for an exploration."
The capital was too political, and he felt suffocated staying here. His brothers could scheme all they want. He had no interest in their pathetic fight for the throne.
