Chapter 142: A Young Beta
Chapter Hundred-Forty-Two – A Young Beta
Laurel finished writing a ’thank you’ letter to the King and Queen of Damancas, for their gifts and encouragement.
She exhaled, wiping off the sweat beads on her head. Only writing a letter had made her overthink so much.
She was writing to very important persons anyway, every stroke and curve mattered.
"Wanna go on a run, Elma?" she jumped from her seat.
She was free to do as she liked now, even if time wasn’t abundant like before. She had to still take care of herself somehow.
Her wolf gave no reply so she slumped back on the chair. "Your fur color? It shouldn’t bother you too much."
"It does." Elma confessed. "If someone sees it, you’d have to give explanation and you don’t know what to say."
An explanation wasn’t necessary, Laurel left her seat again. "I can choose what I answer, Elma. Also, I can honestly say it’s the moon goddess’ gift to me."
She wasn’t a normal werewolfess. First, she had that gift that could help her get memories while unconscious or asleep.
And then, she’s her mother and father’s daughter.
Having an unusual fur color might mean something positive, it was natural. She pushed the door open and walked out, she noticed it slammed back loudly.
