Logan was not sure how to respond to that. It felt surreal. If he thought about it in different way, the baby would help them to go through everything and more so their relationship would be improved. He would give her the family that she wanted.
"Don’t you think we can have our own happy family?"
"I don’t know."
Rose was very understanding when Logan looked confused. "I do this, not because I want the power, not because I crave for the throne, but because I thought this is the right thing to do for you, for me, and for our future child or children. I want a happy family. But how do you think it could be possible with a creature like the lycan out there who is unhinged enough to kill his own people, to kill his own supporter?"
Logan didn’t say anything, but Rose knew that she was so close to get him, thus she continued. Her voice was soothing.
"It doesn’t matter how much you give your loyalty to him. You couldn’t even compare yourself to Bryden and Ezra, who had dedicated their own life for the revival of the old dynasty. But can you see the end of them? The Lycan didn’t even blink an eye when he killed them. And you, people like you and me are nothing in his eyes. I don’t want such a threat for our baby."
Rose had tears in her eyes, her face contorted with fear and the sight of her really bothered Logan, it was awaken his protective instinct.
"Please Logan, please understand this. You may call me anything, you may call me delusional or stupid to even try to fight the lycan, but you know I only have the best interest in my heart for you, for the baby, for this Kingdom. Think about this again Logan."
Logan stare at her. He could see the sincerity in her eyes and he knew that she was telling the truth.
