On the other hand, Rose could see how his gaze softened, she used this opportunity to approach him, hugged him, and rested her forehead against his chest. And the fact Logan didn’t even push her away, it was a great sign.
"You know I can’t do it without you. I know the beginning of our union, it’s not something that you even dreamed about, but believe me, I will put myself in danger. I will put myself between you and the lycan if it meant you are safe. I have seen what happened to Dacre and and I don’t want the same thing happen to you." Rose sighed with feeling. "I don’t want to be Nycta."
Nycta chose death when she returned to be with Dacre in his final moment, which showed her stupidity and also her loyalty and love for her mate, even though she could escape and would have been alive now.
With the way Rose said that she didn’t want to be like Nycta, in a way, she admitted that she loved Logan.
"And with how crazy Khaos right now, the possibility that he will come to us one day is very high. What if we offended him or Zuri unintentionally? Will they kill us right away? That’s a possibility. I don’t want to live in that fear. I don’t want to see such future."
Logan couldn’t even find a word to refute her and slowly he hugged her back. However, he still couldn’t agree with her plan. "I know, but Rose, I still disagree with your plan. I will not stage a coup against the lycan, unless he will be a real threat for this Kingdom or for us."
Logan thought he was compromising with her here and that was rational.
Yet, Rose had different opinion. She closed her eyes and sighed deeply. She knew Logan was being stubborn, his ego was hurt because of how dominant she could be.
But then she had another plan, one more plan, and she knew he wouldn’t be able to deny her right now, thus she spoke very softly.
