Joy and Sorrow
For a moment I didn't realise that there was a foreign voice in my head. My heart ached as my eyes started stinging. It took me a while to accept that Yuji had just been killed. Even though I had denied myself that I didn't love him in a romantic way, when I lost him, I realized that I have been in love with him all along.
Unconsciously wiping the tears on my cheeks, I realized that it was blood. But I didn't care, I turned around to look at Sasori whose puppet eyes were wide open. Probably to express his shock. But I didn't care.
Instinctively I lifted my hand in his direction.
"Devour..." A word escaped my mouth that I didn't recognise. In an instant a transparent gelatinous fluid-like substance came out of my hand, covering the entire area around me.
The entire battlefield around me covered with various parts of the broken puppets along with the broken and battered body of Sasori were covered in that fluid in an instant. As fast as the fluid had appeared, it disappeared, retreating into my palm.
