The group followed them as they increased their speed and changed their direction.
But their enemy had no intention of letting them go that easily.
Only in a couple of minutes did their pursuer catch up to them.

After mastering the human puppet technique, Sasori had used this technique on 15 jounins of the hidden sand to turn them into his human puppets. When the third kazekage found out about this he confronted Sasori alone. Being the grandson of one of the village elders and one of the best puppet masters to ever exist, he wanted to bring back Sasori and bury the news of his treacherous acts 6 feet under the ground. Unfortunately for him he had underestimated the young genius. With the help of his human puppets he managed to kill his teacher, the third kazekage. Altho he didn't escape unscathed, he remained the victor of the battle. After his victory, realizing the limitations of his own flesh, Sasori had turned himself into a human puppet before doing the same with the corpse of the third kazekage. After becoming a missing nin of the hidden sand he has been spending his days, travelling around the land of wind and collecting shinobis to make them his puppets.
That day when Sasori sensed a massive Chakra signature, bigger than that of the third kazekage, through one of his sensory human puppets, he immediately headed in that direction to claim his new puppet and add it to his collection.
When Sasori finally reached in front of the group of hidden leaf shinobi along with his sensory human puppet, he frowned. The big Chakra signature was actually coming from a brat wearing Jonin best.
"Sasori of the Red Sand !"
*Tch* Sasori quickly clicked his tongue. Despite turning himself into a human puppet he had retained his human looks. If the brat in front of him is really a leaf Jonin, then he was not surprised to get discovered. But that means one of his minor surprise factors of being a puppet master has gone to waste.
