“Haaaaa.......”
Dane let out a deep sigh. His head was pounding and his chest was heavy. Grayson followed him around like a goldfish at work. Even if he managed to shake him off, he only had five minutes, or at most ten minutes, of free time. Grayson found Dane incredibly quickly. It was so much so that he wondered if he had planted a tracking device on his body without his knowledge.
It was ridiculous.
Dane thought with a frown. When he finally got off work and left Grayson behind, a cheap motel was waiting for him. His small but comfortable home was gone, and he was forced to live in a dirty, old motel with only one room, and he was so angry at himself for being miserable.
The only good thing was that the insurance he had taken out paid out the compensation and a few months’ worth of rent. Adding the money he borrowed to that, it was possible to rebuild the house. The problem was finding a place to stay. Since he didn’t have much money, he had a hard time finding a decent house. He wanted to avoid cheap apartments where gunshots were heard frequently and robbers would come into the house. It would be dangerous for Darling too.
But he couldn’t stay in a hotel forever... ... .
Dane thought as he stroked Darling’s body lying on his thigh. He found a place with a good security, but he couldn’t stay here forever. It might take years to rebuild the house. If he didn’t find a place to live in the meantime... ... .
He shook his head after thinking that far. The reason he was so stressed was because he hadn’t been able to get rid of what he needed to get rid of. In that case, there was something to do. Dane lifted Darling up and kissed her head, then carefully put her back down. Fortunately, Darling liked the cushion that he had bought in a hurry, and the cat stayed there most of the day.
Meow, Dane, who saw the cat that had been making a small sound curl up into a ball and huddled inside the cushion, got up and left the room. All he had to take was the hotel room key and money for drinks. Then, without any hesitation, he got into the car and headed to the club he often went to.
