Chapter 211: Arc 4, Act I, - 56: A Historical Occasion
’The 15th of September, nine-seven-nine... The emissaries have come and spoke their piece—negotiations over the last two days of how everything would proceed.
The public to be kept at bay, the Ordinate to be in their best behaviour and the use of magics prohibited. The Ordinate teleported a reply to the Prime Minister and told us of who all would be arriving.
The need to have dark magentas and blacks is a bit much... I have to take a step back every time and think about all of this—to make sense of it.
I’ve not been okay ever since we got out of Hartamat, but I feel like myself again today. So, I’ll do what I do best—think. Everything today’s volatile. Maybe that’s what’s so comforting...’
"You’re really wearing that huh?" the princess approached, tiara upon her head and dressed opulently.
The blonde stood in her adventuring armour, blade to her side, "I feel comfy. Besides, I cleared it with those emissaries." Hotaru and Asobi stood by her side whilst Feyan walked up behind Arabella and Daiyu.
"Black and magenta is a really nice combo," Asobi assessed the bits of ribbons down the halls. She ran her wand through her raven black hair, giving herself streaks of magenta. With a, "Ta-da!" she made parts of her clothing dark magenta to compliment the black.
A twinkling of light seemed to follow her wand. "Ah, colour shift; you’ve learnt quite quickly my adorable pupil," the countess walked into their conversation.
The dawn was still stretching into the windows of the inner foyer—the open doors into the courtyard letting in a soft cool breeze. No mistakes like last time...
No need for the entrances outside, no need for salutations. "This isn’t some welcoming party. We show our good graces to the public to make sure nothing breaks out. In reality, this is a judging.
This discussion will guide the fate of Trailon going forward for their transgressions. So no need for overtly extravagant presentations; unless for yourself of course," the countess cooed.
"I don’t remember asking you to speak," Daiyu half-closed her right eye.
