Chapter 112: Too Much Sympathy
"Charlotte, good morning."
Charlotte’s eyes widened, and her lips parted slightly the moment she opened the door and saw Isolde standing there in her usual all-black outfit.
As always, a warm smile appeared on Isolde’s face, the kind of smile that could melt away tension and bring peace to Charlotte’s heart in just seconds.
"I-Isolde!" Charlotte didn’t say anything else. She simply threw herself into her bodyguard’s arms. "You’re back!"
Damon had already told her that the silver bullet hadn’t hit any of Isolde’s vital organs, and that there was no need to worry too much.
However, Charlotte had seen her get shot right in front of her. Therefore, it was natural for her to be worry.
Now, seeing Isolde standing here, alive and well, Charlotte finally let out a breath she hadn’t even realized she was holding.
"Are you really fully healed?" Charlotte asked anxiously, scanning her from head to toe.
Isolde chuckled. "If I weren’t healed, do you think Mr. Sullivan would’ve let me come here?"
Still, Charlotte looked unsure. Isolde gently patted her on the shoulder.
"Listen, Charlotte, I’m really okay. The wounds and even the stitches are gone! I’m more than ready to be your bodyguard again."
