Chapter 51: Void Knights Selection
The sun rose slowly over the horizon, its golden light bathing the island of Voidreign in a radiant glow. Seagulls cried in the distance, and the wind carried the salty tang of the sea across the vast construction grounds. From high above, in the floating Celestial Garden Castle, Jessie sat alone at a round stone table beneath the towering boughs of the Azure Ocean Tree.
Steam rose from his cup as he gazed out into the distance.
Below him, the island buzzed with tireless energy.
The seawalls—monolithic defenses of glistening stone—encircled the entire island like an unbreakable halo. Built by hundreds of skilled workers and empowered by the Unlimited Materials Jessie had claimed, these walls required no worry about shortages. Gold, adamantine, voidstone—materials once rare and fought over were now abundant, summoned by a mere thought.
Jessie watched the workers as they chiseled, and reinforced the walls. Despite the scale of the construction, not a single soul looked weary.
In the distance, a different marvel began to take form: the central marketplace. Less of a market and more of a colossal mall-like structure, it stretched wide and tall, a future hub of trade, culture, and unity. Jessie could already imagine its corridors filled with life—merchants peddling rare wares, chefs cooking exotic meals, travelers sharing tales from distant lands.
"As expected of Kaelor Brimstone," Jessie murmured with a nod of approval. "Efficient. Visionary."
A warm breeze passed through the garden, fluttering his coat. With deliberate calm, Jessie rose from his seat and descended toward the lower courtyards of the floating castle.
Beneath the shade of silverleaf trees in a quiet grove near the castle, Shirahoshi stood with curiosity in his eyes. Jessie approached him, holding a small, crystal vial filled with glowing azure liquid—the Super Soldier Serum, it was reward from the system in the past.
"Drink this," Jessie said simply.
Shirahoshi blinked. "What... is it?"
