Chapter 57: The True Path of a Sovereign
’Maybe it’s nothing,’ the Dean thought to himself, eventually shrugging. ’I should instead focus on the future training path I’ll recommend the Crown Prince follow. That way, his full potential can be unleashed, and the next powerhouse of our Kingdom can be born.’
Meanwhile, among the sea of students, a prim-and-proper girl was the first to move. She walked out and approached the person that everyone seemed to have their eyes on as of late.
"Cinna Bonnella is the name, young gentleman. Could I ask for yours?" She unsleeved one of her gloves, extending an unblemished hand in Jin’s direction. "Could you do me the pleasure of telling me your name as well?"
Her eyes were like jewels. Her voice like honeydew. Her face perfection personified.
Yet Jin couldn’t care less.
"You don’t know my name?" he asked. "That’s quite unusual considering that I just overheard you speaking with your father in a carriage some minutes ago. What was the conversation about again? It’s on the tip of my tongue, but I just can’t seem to remember."
Beads of sweat started to form on Cinna’s peachy face.
"Ah, yes." Jin slapped his hands together. "The conversation detailed how that ’naive young prince, Arthur Moonshire, would be so very easy to manipulate.’"
"A-Arthur, I can explain-..."
"Do not use my name as you please," Jin’s voice cut through hers like knives to the heart. "I don’t know who you think you are, sixteenth daughter of Duke Vangrove, but you are not in any way related to me. We are nothing."
"To me, you are nothing."
Just as Cinna began to tear up, Jin dismissively waved his hand. "Get out of my sight at once," he commanded, scaring away her along with every other youth who wished to use him for their own benefit.
