Of all the Rules, the Space and Time Rules were among the most difficult to progress understanding in. They were many times harder than, say, the Water or Wood Rules, with Time—more so than Space—being even more demanding than comprehending the Life and Death Rules.
So for a seven-year-old to be capable of not only grasping the Space Rule but also getting it to Level 2, just... what sort of genius did this require?
In truth, Jin hadn’t even shown all that he had, for his Space Rule was actually at Level 3. Moreover, his recently grasped Fire Rule, Dark Rule, Nature Rule, and the like were lingering between Level 3 and Level 4—and that was with him neglecting them and focusing on Space.
With just |Against-Heaven’s Understanding|, such insane progress in Rule comprehension wouldn’t have been possible. However, because Jin had already comprehended one Rule—one of the most special of all—the rest of the common ones came as second nature upon observing Super Element Crystals for a while.
There was also the part that his many millions of Intents had to play in all this, for Intents were essentially diluted Rules. And though most would never glimpse a benefit for Rule comprehension from comprehending more Intents, ’most’ were not the freakish and obsessive Jin Stratus.
When Jin first began this insane journey, he thought that having more than a few thousand Intents had huge diminishing returns. But as time went on and many more Intents were mastered, his perspective changed drastically.
To put it in terms of disinfectant spray, when he had 10,000 comprehended Intents, it was as if he could destroy 80% of bacteria.
When that number passed a hundred thousand, he could destroy more than 90% of bacteria.
For a million plus, that 90% went up to 99%.
And for ten million plus, it was already at 99.99%.
