The class was quiet as the teacher attempted to pick up where they left off, scribbling equations on the whiteboard. Arthur sat near the back, his eyes unfocused as he tried to process the events of the day, still caught between the reality of his situation and his newfound abilities.
But then, a voice cut through his thoughts.
"Hey, Arthur, isn't it?"
Arthur looked up. The voice came from the kid sitting in front of him, a slightly scruffy-looking boy with a mischievous grin on his face. Arthur had never seen him before, but there was something about the way he spoke—almost mocking.
"Yeah?" Arthur replied, his tone neutral, though a slight flicker of irritation sparked within him.
