Marvel : I'm in Westview Town

Chapter 51 : Search History

In the dark cave surrounded by vine-covered runes, the Book of the Damned was placed on a central platform, exuding bursts of dark energy, accompanied by the haunting screams of lost souls.

Its presence kept the cave unnaturally cold.

"Sure enough, it's the Book of the Damned. I wonder where the old witch got it from," Finn muttered as he walked toward the book.

As he approached, he could clearly feel the cold air blowing on his face, and the temperature around his body dropped sharply. This was due to the chilling aura emanating from the Book of the Damned.

Cracks appeared on the bottom of the high platform, worn down by years of bearing the heavy book.

"This thing is basically a mobile refrigeration unit. No wonder the witch lost weight in the original story," Finn remarked as he picked up the dark book and flipped through it. The coldness of the book sent an involuntary shiver through him.

Practicing with this book every day—could you blame her for losing weight when the cold seems to erode your body?

Finn figured he'd have to get a duplicate version of the Book of the Damned, so when studying for Wanda, he wouldn't be bothered by the freezing aura.

The original tale explained that when Chthon recorded the spells, he also recorded his own dark deeds.

These dark deeds, recorded by one of the ancient gods, are embedded in the writing itself and can affect anyone who reads them.

Even after using the black magic within, many souls were sacrificed to the ancient god Chthon.
