Tears spilled out of Wenqian's eyes as she tremblingly hugged her daughter. "Danya...you are okay. You are safe...I was so terrified. I am sorry, dear. It's all my fault. I was irresponsible..." she broke down.
Danya patted her mother's back. "I am fine, Mom. Pretty sister, pretty brother and handsome brother helped me a lot!"
Wenqian stiffened. She looked at Jia, Bojing and Mingshen with hostility in her eyes.
Jia stood before her. "Your daughter is now safe, Mam. Yang Mingshen has checked her as well. She isn't physically injured either."
Wenqian pressed her lips in silence.
Jia could easily read her mood.
She is happy to see Danya okay but bitter about the cops' involvement. The hatred runs deep...
