Chapter 107: Hallucination
They killed the Lizardmen very quickly, and the one that was left was the one with the bloodlust. It stood there, undisturbed by the fact that it had lost several brethren.
Its sharp eyes closed into slits, and suddenly it moved—its speed so fast it vanished in a second. Everyone was shocked by the speed, but they were alert.
It seemed like the monster had found the weak link in their group and attacked Chloe. It had watched the entire battle with the other monsters and knew she was a mage.
Her way of attacking was at range. She couldn’t attack close-range, so she was the best target if it was able to get close to her.
’This monster, did it stand back while we fought so that it could learn about our skills?’ Riven thought, his gaze locked on the monster that was about to reach Chloe.
He immediately made the decision to throw his sword at it, but in the next moment, Chloe pulled off a move no one had expected.
Her arm got coated with ice, she swung it like a blade, and the ice shot out like bullets, stabbing into the monster’s chest.
It let out a roar of pain, retreating a few steps back and giving Robert enough time to get between the monster and his sister.
"Are you fine?" Robert asked her while his back faced her. He gripped his sword tightly.
