After that, we played some more games in which I was the villain. I was the witch who eats humans. It was such a funny and interesting role. And again, Velric was first my assistant who was helping me to eat humans—means he was on the villain’s side and suddenly became the hero.
As the four of them shouted for help and begged the hero to appear, Velric left my side and became the hero.
We played so much. It was so fun. And after playing, Damon was spinning Velric around in the air, holding him, and Velric couldn’t stop giggling.
Velric was happy experiencing that. After that, we went and ate dinner even though we had had snacks. Still, it’s a rule to eat dinner, and we all ate. And then, fell asleep!
The next day, I did all my work. But well, of course, Velric was learning everything. The royal teacher had come to teach him everything—singing, royal dance, basic etiquette, and the history of the pack. Everything.
And when all his classes were done, he came into my office and sat down there. He was playing all by himself, and with some servants too.
When my work was done, I realized it was already so late in the night. And Velric was still awake. Even though we had dinner, still after that I started to work again.
And now it’s already the middle of the night, so I was feeling guilty—why didn’t I pay attention to him? And even after eating, he was still playing there, waiting for me. Of course, he can’t fall asleep without me.
"Okay, enough with playing today. Velric, let’s go. It’s time to sleep, my boy."
I picked him up and came out from the office, and found out that the four of them still had more than a thousand files to review. Now, if they didn’t review them, then the whole budget would get messed up.
