Silas’s POV
"What?! " So I was wrong all along—it was Orian who hugged first? Wow, man, I’m really shocked hearing this, ’cause who could believe this cutie boy can even go near any Alpha? But wait, did he want to tell Dad about Meyer in the dining hall?
"Orian, by any chance, do you want to tell Dad about Meyer?"
"No, I already told him. When I hugged Meyer and returned to the palace, after that I told Dad everything. He said he would think about it and told me not to worry. So I wanted to ask for the answer, but I didn’t have the courage to ask."
Aww, my brother is really fast. But look at this—why is he so cute that I let go of his shoulder and hug him? And again, we return to the dining hall, ’cause Dad hasn’t left from there yet.
As we went inside, Dad was sitting there in a daze without eating. As he saw us, he quickly started to smile which was not real.
"What happened? Why are you both here again?"
I really had come here to ask Dad about Orian, if he had thought about Orian and Meyer at all or not. But seeing how sad he was, yet pretending to be fine in front of us, I didn’t have the courage to ask him anything. I just moved forward and hugged Dad. Orian also did the same.
"What happened to both of you? All of a sudden?" Dad asked. But we didn’t say anything and only hugged him while standing on each side of him. We talked about my personal guards too, ’cause Dad couldn’t believe they got killed, and that too, this soon. It seemed impossible for them to die at the hands of those Alphas.
