Silas’s POV
Damon grabs the first aid kit and sits in front of me.
"Mr. Damon, do you know Silas’ cheek was already swollen from the inside? It looked fine from the outside, but now he got slapped."
Damon quickly stretches out his hand, touching my cheek. He presses lightly to check if it’s swollen, and when I hiss in pain, he lets go and applies some ointment. After that, he sits back while looking ahead.
There was dead silence in the office. Neither Nekol nor Damon said anything. I knew they must be confused, watching my family fight in front of them, yet they remained so calm and didn’t ask anything. It was surprising.
Just then, Damon glances at me when he catches me looking at him.
"Your relationship with your father is really bad... He’s the type of father who doesn’t love his biological child but favors his adopted one instead. I’ve never seen a case like this before."
Nekol also sits down on the sofa in front of us and adds,
"Are you alright? Your father is a really strange man. I can’t even imagine having a father like that. How are you even surviving?"
I smile like it’s nothing.
"Don’t worry about me. It’s nothing. This always happens, so I’m used to it."
