Chapter 5: I want to leave
Silas's POV
"I went to your room, but I couldn't find you. Can I sleep with you tonight? I don't want to sleep alone, but Damon bro punished me by making me sleep alone," Orian said, leaning into the guy's chest and nuzzling his head against it.
I stood there watching everything unfold, unable to tear my eyes away.
That guy should feel ashamed of himself for trying to get close to me when his mate, Orian, is so beautiful and adorable.
Guilt and shame began to creep into me because I knew all too well how it felt to see your mate with someone else.
It wasn't a pain anyone deserved, and yet here I was, standing amidst this.
"By the way, Kael, why were you in this omega's room? Were you two... playing?" Orian asked, his curious eyes locking onto mine. The question caught me completely off guard.
Playing? What kind of question was that? Did we look like children who would play games?
And judging by the way he had walked in earlier and seen us standing so close, his question held more weight than it seemed.
"No, Orian. I was just out for a walk at night, but then I heard a commotion, so I came to check. And when I got here..." Kael paused mid-sentence, turning to look at me, a mocking smirk playing on his lips.
"There was only one person making enough noise to match a hundred," he said with a chuckle, "so I was just... having a conversation with him."
