NTR Massage Parlour: A Wellness Technique Guide

Chapter 280: What Money Can’t Buy

"What am I looking at?" Yohan asked, lifting a stack of printed documents. Helen had handed it him as soon as he stepped into her office.

"It’s a paper trail," she replied. "Between Hatoru and your father."

"What?" His brows furrowed as he scanned the pages.

"Yes, there’s evidence suggesting that the money used to purchase your shop actually came from Hatoru."

"That can’t be..." he muttered, shaking his head. "My parents bought that place with their own hard-earned money and a loan from the bank"

"I’m afraid that’s not the case." Helen’s voice softened slightly.

She stepped closer, folding her arms. "And it’s not just your father. Almost everyone on that street owes their shop to Hatoru. That’s why they’re so willing to sell to him now."

Yohan looked up sharply, confusion flashing across his face.

"That area—where your massage parlor is located—was originally developed by the government," she continued. "The plan was to sell the buildings to ordinary citizens at affordable prices. But somewhere along the line, the prices were inflated. Way beyond what most people could afford."

She paused, letting it sink in.

"That’s when Hatoru stepped in. He offered them loans—large enough to cover the cost of the buildings. To them, it looked like a miracle. They had no other choice, so they took it."

Helen met his eyes. "By the time they realized how brutal the terms were... it was already too late,"

"How? What else did they expect doing business with a gangster?"

"Honestly you can’t really blame them, most people go into new businesses thinking they are about to make a lot of money. They would take pointless risk if you make it sound presentable..."

"But why didn’t they just go to the bank or find literally anyone else?"

"I don’t know, one of the former shop owners told us that when Hatoru came to them there were government workers advising them to take the deal. We don’t know how true that is so I can’t confirm anything, but you have to understand that these people were desperate. Everything is still under investigation though, so I’m not even supposed to be telling you this,"

"So what happened to my parents? Were they killed because of the debt?"

"No, they were killed because he insisted on working until he paid off his debt and keeping his shop,"

Yohan clenched his fist, at last the truth had revealed itself, Haturo really did kill his parents.

"Their accident happened only a few days after he successfully acquired all the other businesses in the area. It’s not enough to directly implicate him, but with what we know... it’s safe to say he was involved."

"Why?"

"Why, what?" She wondered

"Why does he want that place so bad?" He asked not really expecting an answer.

"I don’t know," her tone dipped, "but I think it has something to do with the recent developments around the city. Our city is still growing and owning a large chunk of properties in a highly developed area would be worth a lot more in the future."

"So in the end it’s just money," he said painfully, like he didn’t already know.

She sighed, feeling disheartened herself, "it always is... Yohan about yesterday, I’m sorry. I stopped thinking for a moment, and tried pressuring you to help but I shouldn’t have done that. You should be free to decide whatever you want,"

"Okay," he simply said, shooting her a look, "So do you think I don’t want to catch my parents killer?"

But as he saw the sincerity in her eyes, his emotions softened.

"But I didn’t tell you about the Baker so you can lose your life chasing after him, please Helen, promise me you’ll let it go,"

"Yohan, you’re asking me to let a criminal live freely,"

"I know, but you have to trust me. Nothing good can come out of chasing after him,"

He knew that was why she chose to tell him the truth about Hatoru now, just so he would feel motivated to help bring down the Baker.

She wasn’t wrong for wanting to take him down, even Yohan didn’t believe anyone should be above the law, but this case was very different. This was real power they were talking about.

"Okay," she finally agreed, "I’ll keep it to myself,"

He exhaled, a hint of relief softening his expression. "Thank you... and don’t worry about yesterday I understand,"

A smile appeared on her face.

He left the station shortly after, and on the drive home he replayed everything inside his head.

Right now even if he could no longer fully trust Helen, he had done his best to keep her from danger.

’I hope she takes my advice, it would really be a shame to lose her’

She obviously still cared for him, and so did he.

"It’s been a while since I really used this baby," he said, running his hand over the steering wheel.

Everywhere he visited these days was mostly around campus so he really didn’t see the need to keep driving it around and attracting attention.

"Maybe I should go on a drive," but that sounded too boring the moment it left his mouth.

But then he had a better idea.

____

Mia stood by the bus stop, dressed in a short, floral sundress, a straw hat, and oversized glasses. When Yohan pulled up right in front of her, she didn’t hesitate—she slipped into the passenger seat, and the car sped off.

"Aren’t you going to say anything?" Yohan asked. He was expecting her to be at least a little bit excited to him, but it’s been more than a few minutes and there was nothing but silence.

She said nothing, just stared at him with a deep frown.

"Come on... it’s not like I can read your mind."

"Where have you been?" she asked, folding her arms across her chest.

"I told you—I had to lie low for a bit."

"So where did you go? Why didn’t you call? Or at least check up on us?" Her voice sharpened. "Do you think you can just call me out, and I’ll come running after you’ve been gone for so long? Huh? Is that the kind of man you are?"

She was screaming at the top of her voice.

"Mia calm down,"

"Don’t tell me to calm down," she shot back

"I mean, let me explain. I was really occupied and..."

"And couldn’t make a five minutes phone call? you’re the absolute worst,"

Yohan sighed, "I know, and I’m sorry. I’m trying to show you"

"And what about Remi? She has been having nightmares since you left, I even had to start sleeping in the same room with her,"

"Mia have you forgotten the last time we were together like this, how those men chased after us and we only managed to get away. I couldn’t risk something like that happening again,"

Mia remembered everything clearly, so it was difficult to continue the argument.

"That still doesn’t explain why you didn’t call at least, we were so worried," she shifted her gaze outside the window.

It looked like she was struggling not to cry, so Yohan said nothing and just focused on the road.

The ride was quiet once again.

It continued like this until they began leaving the city.

"Where are we going?" she finally asked, curiosity slipping into her voice.

"Somewhere..." he replied vaguely.

The paved road eventually gave way to a narrow dirt path, the car bouncing lightly as they veered off course.

Trees arched overhead, their branches knitting together to filter the sunlight into soft, shifting patterns across the windshield. The deeper they went, the quieter it became, no traffic, no voices, just the low hum of the engine and the whisper of wind through leaves.

When he finally stopped, Mia frowned slightly before stepping out of the car.

Then she froze.

Before her stretched a vast valley, spilling endlessly into the horizon like a painting brought to life. Rolling hills dipped and rose in gentle waves, blanketed in lush green and scattered with bursts of wildflowers–yellow, violet, and white dancing in the breeze.

A narrow stream cut through the land, its surface glinting under the sun like scattered glass. The air was different here, cleaner, cooler, carrying the faint scent of earth and blooming petals.

For a moment, she forgot to speak.

A soft breeze brushed past her, tugging lightly at her dress and hat, as if urging her to step forward, to take it all in. The world felt... still and perfect.

Mia took a slow step ahead, her eyes wide, the earlier tension slipping from her face without her realizing.

"...Wow. I never knew that a place like this was even nearby,".

"Not many people do,"

"It’s so beautiful... how did you find such a place?"

"Well, I used to work in a small farm somewhere down there," he pointed out into the open field.

"You worked at a farm? I would never have guessed"

"it was only for a short period..."

Of two years, but It was in his former life so he didn’t bother to explain

"Why don’t you wait here while I set everything up,"
