NTR Massage Parlour: A Wellness Technique Guide

Chapter 279: Ghosts Don’t Stand Trial

By the time Yohan arrived home, Helen was already waiting outside his apartment building.

"Hey..." he approached with a cheerful smile but she simply stared at him indifferently.

"What’s wrong?" Yohan asked.

"Not here," the woman said sharply.

So he led her upstairs to his room.

When he first received the call, he figured that Helen just missed him and wanted to see but from her expression he began to suspect that it was something serious.

"I met with the professor you’re working for, Minji Kim, and she told me something..." she barely even looked around the room, talking as soon as he shut the door.

"Hmm, what did she say?" He wondered.

"She told me that you murdered someone," Helen said without any hesitation, her gaze fixed on him.

Yohan was caught off guard by what he was hearing. His deepest darkest secret was coming out of Helen’s mouth, it was even worse because she heard it from someone else.

"She said that...?" He murmured, finding it hard to say anything else.

"Yes, I don’t want to believe her but she sounded very convinced. I came to you first because I trust you to tell me the truth, so tell me what really happened,"

The first thought that came to his mind was to deny, deny every single thing, but the effort involved would be too much. There was no telling what exactly Minji had seen, and right now he probably needed Helen on his side the most...

"I’m going to tell you everything..." he said rather calmly, "from the very beginning,"

Obviously that last part was a lie, he wasn’t going to tell her how he came back in time and found the wellness technique guide, but he told her everything else.

From how he found out about the Baker, to Freddie and his uncle’s involvement in the recent situation, and finally to meeting with the Baker himself.

"You said..." she paused trying to understand what he had just finished explaining, "He makes special items?"

"Yes, the kind that would enhance your body or give you special abilities," he nodded subtly

"And the girl you killed could control her hair because of this item?"

The way she said it sounded a bit wrong to him, but it was the truth so he simply just nodded.

"And she tried to kill you first?"

He nodded again, relieving that exact moment in his head.

"I panicked and by accident..."

The story sounded very unbelievable but the troubled expression on his face as he sat on the bed, left her thinking otherwise.

"Yohan, I want to believe you—but none of this makes sense. Do you have any evidence?"

"Evidence? What kind?"

"I don’t know, maybe one of these special items,"

"I don’t have any... or wait" he was already shaking his head when he realized that he actually had something that could convince her.

He pulled out his healing elixir, although it wasn’t made by the Baker it could easily be considered a special item.

He handed the small vial to her.

"What is this?"

"It’s something that can heal almost any injury,"

"Hmm?" She looked at him in shock, "A-Are you serious?"

"Yeah, we could even check it out," he stood up and got a small knife from the kitchen, without any hesitation he clasped the blade and pulled.

"Yohan!" Helen screamed as he sliced his palm.

He winced as the blood began flow,

"How can you do that to yourself?" she rushed to look at the bleeding wound.

"Ouch, I think I did too much," he casually drank from the violet liquid inside the vial while she was already pulling him to the sink.

As soon as she placed his hand under the tap, the blood washed away just in time for her to see the injury fully close up, right in front of her eyes.

"H...How is that possible?" She checked it over and over again, but the cut had truly disappeared and there was not a single scratch left behind.

"I told you, I really don’t know how it works but it does. All I know is the Baker has more special items like this, that can do almost anything,"

Helen was completely stunned for more than a few seconds. The reality she had known all her life was changing right before her eyes.

"How can we reach this man?" She asked, sounding absent minded but yet thoughtful.

"Why? Do you want to buy his item? They are pretty expensive,"

"I’m not buying, I want him to answer to the law," Helen said boldly, her expression stern as they locked eyes

"The law...?" Yohan repeated.

"I can never let a criminal like him get away with what he’s doing, he’s going to stand in front of a judge and face punishment for his crimes,"

Yohan could see the fire burning behind her gaze, this was the deputy inspector Helen Carter talking, not the woman he normally knew.

What surprised him was that she didn’t seem to understand just how impossible her wishes were. The Baker wouldn’t stand trial.

He would kill the judge before ever answering to one. Yohan wasn’t just speculating.

"Helen I know, but it’s not that easy. The Baker is a ghost, I only managed to meet him because he wanted to see me..."

"Then we would make him want to see you again. Yohan, I know you must be scared but it’s my job to handle assholes like these,"

"You are still not understanding," Yohan sighed, "this isn’t the kind of person you go after, you know he killed those three Congressmen and even Kai Lu. Those men were already in police custody, how do you think he pulled it off?"

"I... I don’t know," she said with a heavy expression, "But we have been investigating it within the department—"

"And everyone would die if you get close to the truth,"

The way Yohan spoke about the Baker, a part of him was wondering if he was starting to overhype this guy a little bit too much, but another part of him could only picture Helen dying brutally.

"Helen believe me when I tell you, this person should be left alone," he grabbed her by the shoulders and looked her in the eye.

"Yohan..." her voice was sharp, and precise "have you forgotten you just confessed to killing another human being, do you know how many years you would get for manslaughter?"

"What are you saying?" His brows pressed down.

"I’m saying, you should be happy to help the police take down this guy. Otherwise..."

"Otherwise what? You would take me to prison?" he scoffed.

"N-No, I never said that. But think about it, if we take down the Baker, we could find evidence that would destroy Hatoru along with his criminal empire. You’re the only one that can do it so I have to ask for your help,"

Yohan’s hands dropped to his side.

"I think you should go," his expression had, indifferent and emotionless.

Helen could tell she had said something wrong so she didn’t try to protest, but as she left she gave him one last look

"I found the truth about your parents, come down to the station tomorrow," Then she shut the door.

Yohan was left standing there with wide eyes, wondering if she had really said what she just said.

’Is she serious?’ he wondered and ran to the door, hand on the handle, ready to open it and scream ’Tell me right now!’, but he stopped himself.

’What if that is what she expects?... That I would come and beg like a dog’

After what she had just attempted to do, Yohan lost almost all trust for her in an instance. Although she didn’t admit it, the threat was unmistakable.

Even if he didn’t really think she could ever go through with something like that, the mere fact that she could say it at such a heated moment was concerning.

’Maybe I shouldn’t have told her anything’ he sighed and went back to his bed.

There was need to chase after her when he could just go see her tomorrow, she probably had a reason why she waited this long and one of them could be that she just didn’t want to tell him

’I never knew there was more to that woman, I would have to be more careful around her’

On a remote coastal island, two guys dressed in dark color clothing pulled a boat on the beach.

"Yo, which way did he say we should go?" Hazard asked,

"Shhhh," Jasper raised his finger to his lips, "Don’t be too loud before you attract attention, he said he would be waiting for us here,"

"How do you know this is the right island?" Hazard didn’t even bother.

"Because, I’ve been here before. We used to bring girls to his family mansion when we really wanted to impress them,"

"How come I was never invited, I thought we always hung out together?"

"Yeah, but you go to the gym often and sometimes travel for your fighting competitions so when it’s just us two we can take long vacations on the island,"

"Wow, I can’t believe I call you guys my friends. I never even knew Freddie’s family had a private island."

"It’s nothing special," Freddie said, his voice drifting in as he appeared.

"Freddie!" Hazard screamed out excitedly.

"Shhhh," Freddie shot him a look, "Do you want to wake up the gaurds?"

He walked straight to the boat, "Let’s get out of here,"
