Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law

Chapter 872 - 868

Jimmy Horne carried Camila Ruiz down to the second floor and turned into a guest room, laying Camila Ruiz gently on the soft bed.

As her back touched the soft bed, Camila showed a slight reaction. She barely opened her eyes and mumbled something when she saw Jimmy's handsome face, but Jimmy couldn't make out what she said.

"Camila, what are you saying?"

Jimmy lowered his head and put his ear close to her mouth, trying to hear her mumbling clearly.

Camila continued to mumble.

Jimmy had to exert a lot of effort to finally understand her mumbling; she said she hadn't taken a bath yet.

After getting off work, she went straight home and changed clothes without having time for a bath. Now she was tired and wanted to sleep, only to think about taking a nice bath.

After understanding her mumbling, Jimmy looked at her with difficulty, then eased as she once again drifted into a deep sleep, off to dreamland. How was she going to take a bath in this state?

Camila was now completely asleep.

On the other end, after Camila and Jimmy had left, Charles Colson once again went to the hospital to find Crystal. This time, he encountered Joseph Colson in the hospital. When the brothers met, it was no longer as close as before but like enemies meeting, their eyes burning with anger.

Though he bitterly called Joseph his brother, his dissatisfaction with him filled his heart.

He warned Joseph not to drag Camila into their affairs.

Joseph, however, sneered and told him: Anything Charles cares about or owns, Joseph wants to seize and destroy, including Camila.

He was so enraged that he nearly started a fight with Joseph right there in the hospital.

But just as he was about to make a move, Joseph's bodyguards stood in front of him. The bodyguards were as tall and fierce as Charles. Though he wasn't afraid, he knew he couldn't fight off that many hands alone, so he had to restrain himself.

After throwing down a heavy warning, he left the hospital in anger and frustration.

Returning to the Wallace Family, he sat irritably in the hall, drinking to drown his sorrows, waiting for Jimmy to bring Camila back.

But he waited half the night, and outside it remained silent.

Several empty bottles were lined up on the coffee table, and the hall was filled with the strong smell of alcohol. Charles leaned powerlessly against the sofa, his head tilted back, staring at the chandelier overhead.

Jimmy hadn't brought Camila back; even a fool could guess he took her to the Nameless Manor and let her stay overnight there. What do two lovers, two normal lovers, do when they stay overnight?

Charles's heart twisted in pain.

Jimmy had finally taken away the woman he had protected for eight years.

Those eight years of guarding were no match for the few days since Jimmy's return.

Camila, do you know there's another in the house waiting for you to return?

Are you really this heartless? Do you not understand my feelings for you at all?

Every time I hear you call me 'Brother Charles,' you have no idea how painful it is, how much effort it takes to pretend to happily respond to you.

I don't want to be your brother.

From the very first time I saw you and those lively big eyes of yours captured my heart, I didn't want to be your brother.
