Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law

Chapter 866 - 862: The Affection of Three Men (2)

Camila Ruiz turned around with a giggle, walking towards the secretary desk while speaking to herself; "Sister Fiona, your witchy voice projection skills are getting more impressive. Maybe one day, you'll be transferred to the CEO's secretary on the sixty-eighth floor, and when you shout from there, even people on the first floor can hear you. Ivan should really rein you in a bit."

Talking to herself was just that, Camila Ruiz wouldn't actually let Ivan restrain little secretary Fiona.

Walking into the elevator, Camila Ruiz pressed the button for the sixty-eighth floor, wondering what Ivan could want with her?

Very quickly, Camila Ruiz arrived on the sixty-eighth floor.

The CEO's secretary was no longer the old Yang. The secretary position was no longer suitable for someone of his age, after more than twenty years, old Yang had aged, and naturally couldn't fill the role of secretary. Now, the CEO's secretary is Xiao Ye. Upon seeing Camila Ruiz, Xiao Ye immediately led her into the CEO's Office, and then wisely exited.

Ivan wasn't sitting at the desk; instead he was standing at that snack cabinet embedded in the wall for over twenty years, constantly stuffing snacks into his arms.

"Brother Ivan." Camila Ruiz curiously walked over and asked, "What are you doing?"

Ivan turned his head to glance at her, smiling: "You're here."

"Do you need help?" Camila Ruiz noticed his arms were already filled with various snacks, and he was still scooping from the cabinet, so she kindly reached out to help him with several exquisitely packaged snacks.

She knew these snacks were her godmother's favorites.

Even though her godmother is fifty now, her habit of loving snacks hasn't changed, so her godfather's office always maintained this snack cabinet. One could say it's the most attractive part of the CEO's office, and everyone entering would sneak a look at the cabinet, marveling at her godfather's unique and intoxicating affection for his wife.

"Put them on the coffee table." Ivan instructed.

Camila obliged.

After grabbing a few more bags of snacks, Ivan returned to the sofa, dumped all the snacks from his arms onto the coffee table, and then sat down, smiling dotingly: "Camila, go ahead, they're all yours."

Without needing his prompt, Camila Ruiz had already grabbed a bag of chestnuts, opened it, and started munching. Hearing what he said, she paused, stared at him incredulously and asked, "Brother Ivan, don't tell me you called me here just for snacks."

Ivan laughed: "Smart."

"Oh god, let a thunderbolt strike me down." Camila Ruiz giggled uncontrollably.

"Your mouth is as greedy as my old mom's. Doesn't Charles Colson always put small snacks in your handbag for you to snack on every day? Anyway, these snacks need to be cleaned regularly. Since my mom's not around, why don't you help finish them? Don't let them go to waste." Ivan's words conveyed undeniable affection towards Camila Ruiz, warming the heart even without romantic undertones.

"Fine, treating me like a trash collector."

"But you enjoy it too."

Camila laughed.

"Eat here, nobody will know, but hurry up, if it takes too long people will start speculating. I don't want Billy to chop me into eighteen pieces." Ivan smiled watching her heartily devour the snacks.

"Let them think what they want, as long as we're not what they imagine."

Ivan laughed but fell silent.

Despite being work hours, Camila Ruiz's current position was just a miscellaneous assistant. Even though Ivan pampered her and shielded her, she didn't dare be too bold, and minutes later, she slipped out of the CEO's office.

Charles Colson returned to Valence Group at four in the afternoon.

There was still an hour and a half before the end of work.

He was the General Manager of Twick Shoe Factory, and freely entered Valence Group, having his own office there.

However, he didn't return to his office but headed straight to the thirty-second floor and walked into Camila Ruiz's office.

Camila Ruiz, who had stuffed quite a few snacks into her tummy, sat before the computer typing away. Hearing the noise of the door opening and steady footsteps, she didn't even raise her head, just asked, "So, what do you want me to do?"

Charles Colson, with a stern face and cold eyes, softened upon seeing her.

He stepped forward, pulled out the black chair in front of Camila Ruiz's desk, sat in it, crossed his arms, and smiled as he looked at her without saying a word.

Sensing something amiss, Camila Ruiz raised her head, receiving his smirk, immediately exclaimed: "Colson, you showed up out of nowhere, I thought it was someone else."

"Why, can't I come look at you?" Charles Colson teased with a smile, his playful eyes discreetly scanning Camila Ruiz, assuring himself she was unharmed, relaxing a bit.

"Welcome, heartily welcome, welcome, welcome, heartily welcome…" Camila Ruiz stopped typing, clapped her hands.

"Stop!" Charles Colson laughed raising his hands in surrender, unable to handle this girl, sometimes clever, sometimes forgetful, sometimes like an elf.

No matter which side of her, she stole his heart.

Facing her, he couldn't help but naturally express his doting affection.

"Colson, you know you shouldn't visit me unless you have a good reason. So, what brings you here my dear?" Camila Ruiz stood up, leaned halfway on her desk, rudely placing her pretty face close to Charles Colson, blinking her lively eyes, and giggling.

Charles Colson couldn't resist giving her a flick on the forehead, smiling indulgently: "If Aunt Rachel saw that, she'd worry for days. Aunt Rachel is grooming you to be a Lady."

Rubbing her head where she was flicked, Camila Ruiz couldn't help but complain: "You and Brother Ivan both love flicking my forehead." Thinking about it, her dear Billy treats her best, only finds ways to love her, and spoil her, never flicking her head.

Upon hearing this, Charles Colson lovingly reached to rub her head, affectionately saying: "Does it hurt? I promise not to flick you again. I've finished with business, noticed it was still early, so came back to the company to take a look. Since there's nothing much for me in the company, I came to see you." He didn't disclose why he actually came to see her.

"I thought you might have something for me to help with." Camila Ruiz sat straight, no longer half lying on her desk, recognizing Colson's point: if Aunt Rachel saw, she'd surely worry for days.

Charles Colson feigned a tease: "You, a tiny assistant, what kind of help could you offer me?"

Camila Ruiz flickered her big eyes, saying: "Acting as a matchmaker, tying red strings, building bridges. What kind of help do you need?"
