It was nearing evening, and the street was now even more crowded.
Upon reaching Central Street, Hansen Ruiz pulled over to let Rachel Bailey out of the car. After getting out, she reached into her pocket, took out fifty US dollars, and stuffed it back into the car for Hansen, saying, "This is for your fare." The one who had scared her legs into jelly wasn’t Hansen, but rather something to do with Benjamin Robinson, so she didn’t want to owe Hansen any favors.
Hansen Ruiz blinked, chuckled as he picked up the fifty US dollars, and chuckled again as he watched Rachel Bailey meld back into the crowd. Her petite figure was still fairly noticeable amongst the throng. She wasn’t much to look at, but she had a decent figure.
Flipping the fifty US dollars in his hand, Hansen Ruiz laughed softly, "That distance we traveled, even if we treat it as fare, it’s not enough. You should have given me a hundred US dollars at least!"
His car was a luxury vehicle worth over a million after all.
Still, he took out his own wallet and tucked the fifty US dollars inside it.
Money is money, no matter how little, and no one will reject it.
