Chapter 53: Being a Mother_1
A week had passed since they hired someone to search for Ruby Bluen, and there was still no trace of her. They only knew she had left T City, but her exact whereabouts remained a mystery.
Some sources claimed she had gone to B City, others to A City, yet none could be confirmed.
Julia Bluen took the bride’s place, so they no longer worried that Glades Horne’s anger might affect the relationship between the Horne and Bluen families. However, as the wedding drew nearer, her concern for Ruby Bluen deepened. They were her own daughters: one was about to enter the Wedding Chapel, while the other was missing without a trace. The mix of joy and sorrow overwhelmed this mother.
She was tempted to ask Julia to seek help from Glades Horne because she knew that if Glades agreed to search, they would surely find Ruby’s whereabouts. Yet thinking of Ruby’s actions, she hesitated to ask Julia to approach Glades, worrying it could affect the young couple’s relationship.
"Ruby, where in the world are you? How could you be so heartless? Just to leave like that—have you thought about us, your parents?" Scarlett Taylor’s murmurs were full of a sobbing tone.
Children are always a part of their mother, no matter how old they get or how far they travel. A mother’s worry for her children never ceases.
Sounds of footsteps approached from behind. She quickly wiped her tears and hid the photograph beneath her.
"Mom, why are you sitting here all by yourself?" Julia walked in from outdoors, holding a high-quality paper bag that contained a white suit.
