Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate

Chapter 1261: Favorite of All

Old Mrs. Seymour sighed heavily; she had a vague understanding of Charles’s past, but never imagined that Sophie would be involved as well.

"Alright, since it’s confidential, I won’t ask. Just take good care of it in the future." Old Mrs. Seymour naturally knew what to ask and what not to ask.

"Okay." Charles Seymour nodded.

When Old Mr. Seymour returned from his stroll outside and saw Charles at home, he asked in surprise, "Why are you here today? Everything’s fine at the company?"

"Yeah, I brought Sophie over to see the child." Charles said calmly, but Old Mr. Seymour was no longer calm, "Sophie..."

Old Mrs. Seymour glared, and Old Mr. Seymour immediately lowered his raised voice, asking in a normal tone, "Sophie knows?"

"Of course." Charles nodded, speaking calmly, "How could I possibly not tell Sophie?"

He maintained his composure as if someone else was the one finding someone to drink with and vent last night.

As the chairman of a company, Charles Seymour certainly has the ability to speak blatant untruths with a straight face.

"Good, you have a sense of responsibility!" Old Mr. Seymour happily patted Charles on the shoulder.

Charles accepted it straightforwardly, completely forgetting how conflicted he was last night.

"Come on, let’s go see little Bao." Old Mr. Seymour happily headed upstairs.

The door to the toy room was open, and inside came Bao’s cheerful laughter, "...Mommy, Mommy, this can move like this..."

"Oh, it can move like that? Bao is amazing, so clever!"

"For Mommy." Bao said, a bit shy in his laughter.

"For Mommy? Thank you, Bao. Let’s have a little kiss."

"Wow, did Bao also kiss Mommy? Do you love Mommy?"

"Yes, love her, love her the most!"

Old Mr. Seymour couldn’t help but show a pleased smile, hearing Bao. Bao had always been obedient, but seeing him so happy today was truly rare.

Sophie spent the entire morning playing with Bao, and after putting him to sleep in the afternoon, she looked at Charles and asked, "Has Bao always stayed at Grandpa and Grandma’s house?"

"No." Charles shook his head, "I’ve been taking care of him myself. I only sent him over after I found you."

"So when should we bring Bao home?" Sophie asked.

She wondered if it was because of blood ties; even though she hadn’t spent time with Bao, she’d worried she might feel awkward seeing him. But as soon as she met Bao, a surge of affection filled her heart without needing any preparation.

"I’ll clean up Bao’s room, in a couple of days." Charles said.

"Okay." Sophie nodded, "Then let’s buy some things for Bao."

She missed so much time with Bao and wanted to make up for it.

"But, will Grandpa and Grandma feel..." Sophie said with some concern, seeing how much they liked Bao. Taking him away like this, would the elderly couple be sad?

Charles thought for a moment and said, "After we get married, let’s invite Grandpa and Grandma to stay with us."

"Great, then we’ll renovate the house a bit." Sophie said with a smile, "Redecorate the first-floor rooms... though I’m worried Grandpa and Grandma might not want to stay often."

"Then we’ll let them come stay occasionally." Charles said, as he certainly wouldn’t mind his grandparents coming to live with them.
