Chapter 1244: You Knew, Right?
Kai knows about Charles and Sophie’s secret, right?
Oh well.
Mason Wilson shut down the computer, stood up, and decided to act as if he knew nothing.
Since Sophie didn’t want them to know, he would pretend not to know anything.
As long as Sophie and Charles are okay, that’s all that matters.
Mason Wilson just got home, only to find Sophie Wilson at the house. He smiled and asked, "Back from the business trip with Charles?"
"Yeah." Sophie nodded.
Mason Wilson subtly observed Sophie and confirmed she was indeed fine, which put his mind at ease.
"Sophie came over, why didn’t you bring Charles along?" Mason asked casually.
"I came over because I have something to tell you." Sophie said with a smile.
"What is it?" Mason’s heart skipped a beat, hoping it wasn’t something major.
Sophie and Charles used the business trip as an excuse, what were they really busy with?
"I’m going to marry him." Sophie couldn’t help but laugh as she mentioned this, the sweetness of it all was evident in her smile.
The air around her was filled with pink bubbles, emanating a faintly sweet aroma.
"You’re getting married?" Clarissa said joyfully, "Great, have you picked a date?"
"He suggested mid-October, but we haven’t looked at dates yet." Sophie said, smiling happily.
"That’s a good time, neither too hot nor too cold. Oh dear, you have to pick the date carefully if you’re getting married. I’ll consult Old Mrs. Seymour about it later." Clarissa started thinking a lot in just a short span, "The date must be well-chosen, you two are young, you can’t just overlook it, don’t you think... hey, give me some response."
Clarissa nudged Mason Wilson beside her, why was he in a daze?
"You’re going to marry him?" Mason managed to squeeze out the words, his face overcast as if thunder was about to roll.
Thunder... he wanted to strike that bastard Charles Seymour dead!
Was this guy about to steal his daughter away?
"Yeah." Sophie nodded with a smile, "There are still a few months until October, but I think preparations for the wedding should start early."
Clarissa couldn’t help but laugh and asked, "What do you need to prepare?"
How did she remember that during Sophie’s engagement, it was all Charles’s doing, and Sophie hadn’t done anything?
"Preparing to be a beautiful bride, of course." Sophie cupped her face and laughed happily.
"What’s not beautiful about my daughter? What do you need to prepare?" Mason said irritably, "If he dares to find fault... I’ll go beat him up!"
He wanted to say he wouldn’t let Sophie marry that punk, but seeing Sophie so fond of him, all he could do was beat up the punk who dared to dislike his daughter.
"Dad." Sophie said coquettishly, shaking his arm, "I want to be even prettier."
"Don’t mind your dad, come on, let’s go upstairs and chat, just the two of us." Clarissa pulled Sophie upstairs.
Mason Wilson was left pitifully downstairs.
He looked up pitifully, his daughter was about to get married, and even his own wife had abandoned him, he felt... so pitiful...
Unlike Mason Wilson, Old Mr. Seymour burst into a joyful laugh upon hearing Charles Seymour’s words, "Great, great, let’s start preparing right now!"
"So Sophie knows about the secret, right?" While Old Mr. Seymour was excited, Old Mrs. Seymour was a bit calmer.
