Chapter 1243: What’s Going On
"Unless you have the ability to protect her for a lifetime!"
Mason Wilson’s words made Old Mrs. Wilson unable to contain her anger: "That’s your sister!"
"Sophie is my daughter!" Mason Wilson refused to back down, "Mom, you’re protecting your daughter, and I have to protect mine! Because of your daughter, I was separated from my child for more than twenty years, did you know?"
Old Mrs. Wilson’s face turned white from Mason Wilson’s yelling, and the last bit of hope was completely shattered. Her lips trembled: "You, you really are so heartless."
"Think what you want." Mason Wilson didn’t want to deal with Old Mrs. Wilson and instead pressed the intercom to call the secretary in, "See the guest out."
Old Mrs. Wilson trembled as she stood up, cast a glance of extreme disappointment at Mason Wilson, and sighed heavily, as if a thousand-pound stone had pressed on her heart, weighing it down, leaving Mason Wilson bitterly speechless.
His mother was disappointed in him, but he was even more disappointed in her.
Whatever happens to him doesn’t matter, that’s his mom and sister, but he can’t fail to consider his wife and daughter.
If he lets others bully his wife and daughter, would he still be human?
Old Mrs. Wilson returned home feeling completely exhausted, with no energy left.
She just wanted to rest well in her room, but upon entering, she saw Old Mrs. Wilson’s stern face.
Old Mrs. Wilson understood immediately.
"Even Mason is getting smarter now, knowing how to tattle," Old Mrs. Wilson said irritably, surely he called to complain just after she left his office.
Old Mrs. Wilson didn’t say much and only nodded, saying, "Just go on!"
With that, he turned and went back to his room.
"What did I do? I’m just..." Old Mrs. Wilson struggled to concede, but she was already panicked inside, especially since Old Mrs. Wilson’s reaction was so strange, with no anger, leaving her even more at a loss.
It seemed something was already out of her control, developing in an increasingly bad direction.
What Old Mrs. Wilson didn’t know was that after returning to his room, Old Mrs. Wilson sat slumped in a chair with disappointment.
Mason must be completely hopeless about this family by now?
Sigh...
Within Wilson Corporation, Mason Wilson was interrupted by the secretary’s voice: "President Wilson?"
"Hmm? What’s the matter?" Mason Wilson looked up and asked.
"President Wilson, it’s already off work, are you..." the secretary tentatively asked.
"Oh, you go ahead. I’ll stay a while longer." Mason Wilson just noticed the time and waved with a smile to the secretary.
"Alright, goodbye, President Wilson." The secretary smiled, nodded, and after closing the office door, finally left.
Mason Wilson sat in the office, thinking about what Old Mrs. Wilson had told her over the phone.
He now hated one thing, that the soundproofing of their house was too good, and they didn’t hear Emerie causing a scene that night.
The security of the community also hadn’t brought up this matter; he only knew about it now.
Mason Wilson sighed heavily, Emerie caused a scene, but what happened that night?
Charles Seymour, who was supposed to be on a business trip, was actually at home.
Sophie always followed Charles Seymour, saying they went on a business trip.
They didn’t go on a business trip, so what were they doing at home?
For half a month, Charles Seymour hadn’t gone to the company.
Mason Wilson suddenly thought of the Kai Bright he encountered that night.
