Chapter 94:Fun In The Office Room
From the next day, the student teaching began. And it was worse than hell.
Studying itself was hard, but now it came with sword training, posture correction, etiquette practice in the morning, and lessons in history, geography, math, and more during the evening. It was like descending into torment.
Nora and Noah, who hadn’t expected this, already started crying. But the most surprising thing happened with Helio. He was just over three years old, yet he was able to follow the lessons without much trouble. It was the history teacher, Ian, who discovered it. While teaching Hilda, he noticed Luke and Helio sneaking into the classroom, and when asked, Helio recited the lesson with perfect memory.
It was shocking. In Roland’s old world, most three-year-olds struggled to remember the alphabet and count numbers. Yet here, kids were learning actual subjects like grown-ups.
That night, Roland sat massaging his forehead. He had spent quite a lot and was checking his finances. He hadn’t even gotten time to visit his wives at night. The mothers were all busy too, taking care of the children who wouldn’t stop chattering or complaining.
Just then, a shadow sneaked into the room. Roland smiled and grabbed her before pulling her in for a heavy kiss.
"Dear, why did you sneak in here? What naughty things do you plan to do?" he teased.
"Stop... stop..." Janet pushed him lightly, making Roland chuckle. He then lifted her and sat her on his lap.
"So, Janet, what brings you here?"
"I came to ask about Amelia. You haven’t shown any interest in her even though she’s been teaching the children seriously. What’s the matter?" Janet asked curiously.
"She’s a bit cold. She needs time," Roland said, then told her about Amelia’s injury.
Janet’s eyes lit up. "Then should we buy something that could help her?"
