Chapter 13: Misconception
Silence...
Only silence permeates the vast field right now to the extent that I can almost hear the wings of the butterflies flap in the air.
It felt as if time had stopped for a moment as my head still pressed against Alvida's chest after I dropped the bomb.
*BADUMP*
I even start to hear my own heartbeats.
Abruptly, a smile slowly starts to creep up on Alvida's face, slowly bursting into laughter.
"Bwha! Bwha! Bwha!" Alvida laughs uncontrollably, rolling on the ground as if she's about to throw up her guts.
But for some reason.... I get pissed off. Is it funny?
"Are you for real, Luke?" Alvida's expression suddenly turns serious, her eyes piercing into my soul.
*SWALLOWS*
