Chapter 68: The One Who Profits is Him
Although Evelyn was concerned for William, she only said the truth; after all, life must go on.
"You can keep that girl outside for fun—I won’t interfere. But if you’re thinking of divorcing Laura to marry that girl, I advise you to think twice. We need to consider who we can actually live life with."
Laura might be a bit fierce, but she was indeed fit for life together.
However, Mandy did not agree with this view and retorted, "Mom, the fact that Laura dared to take action against William today shows that he needs to divorce her. If he drags this on, it will only become a disaster! Moreover, it is also already a disaster if the marriage itself has become a wreck. I think he can definitely marry that girl. Whether she’s good at managing life or not, you have to experience it to know."
"Look at how well-behaved Laura was before compared to now; leaving such an injury on William’s arm. What wife would do that?"
She patted William on the shoulder and suggested, "William, listen to your sister. Cut off Laura’s living expenses first to show her we won’t be bullied easily!"
William also planned to do the same, deciding not to provide living expenses if Laura didn’t apologize.
Now that the family knew about Nancy’s existence, he would only be more bold in interacting with Nancy.
Seeing the photos Nancy sent along with her sweet and coaxing voice, William was captivated. He wished he could divorce Laura immediately.
Meanwhile, Laura was urging Jessie and Kevin to go back quickly and not worry about her.
"Don’t worry, he doesn’t dare do anything to me now. If something happens, I’ll call you."
Jessie still couldn’t let go of her concern, fearing those people might come back to trouble Laura.
