Chapter 48: Marriage Is a Woman’s Grave
Back in the room, Laura lay on the bed looking at her phone. Luke was already asleep, and she only glanced at William, not wanting to talk to him at all.
William looked at her with some disdain, but his expression softened considerably when his gaze fell on Luke.
Although he didn’t like Laura, he still cared deeply for his son.
"Let me tell you something. My nephew and niece are about to start high school, and my sister wants them to come to the city to study. I agreed with that. From now on, you will be in charge of taking care of her kids. Anyway, it’s just a few extra chopsticks at the table, right? I’ll also increase the living expenses a bit.
