Chapter 158 - 66. Earth Marrow
Fisher didn’t listen to Meg first about the secrets of the Ocean Subhuman; after all, the streets were bustling with people and their prying ears.
He decided to first take this rebellious child back to Gina’s wholesale shop, in hopes of helping to alleviate what looked like their family’s complicated and difficult conflict.
When they got back to the shop, mother and daughter exchanged glances, then Meg awkwardly shifted her gaze away, and of course, there could be no normal conversation.
Gina wanted to scold her disobedient daughter, but because Fisher and Moli were there as outsiders, she didn’t erupt in anger just yet. Instead, she shot a glare at the downcast Meg before going out to deal with her Magic Chickens.
"Now let’s talk about the so-called intelligence on Ocean Subhumans."
Looking around as the shop quieted down, Fisher turned to Meg, who was hugging a pillow on the sofa, and said so.
Moli, who was next to them, placed the Magic Materials on the table and then curiously looked at Meg, waiting for her to speak.
"Um... It was about this week," Meg began, "recently I’ve sometimes gone out to play at night... with my boyfriend and his friends. Last Monday night, they brought several bottles of liquor and took me next to the Coco River to watch the stars."
