Chapter 8: Fitness and Fluster ( 8 )
Haruki had been living with them for more than two weeks now.
As usual, his wife, Satomi, rushed out early with her father, both too busy with work to linger around the house. This left Haruki alone with Kyouko once again.
That morning, Satomi had already left, and Haruki was just waking up.
"Yaaawwn..."
He stretched lazily before heading to the bathroom to wash his face. He hadn't managed to do his morning exercises for the past two weeks—something about working out on the lawn felt... weird. Maybe awkward. He wasn't sure.
Making his way downstairs, he headed straight to the kitchen and poured himself a glass of water.
"Hmm? Where's Kyouko-san?"
He glanced around, expecting to see her, but the house was silent. After finishing his drink, he was about to return upstairs when he noticed something—the back door was open. A gentle morning breeze drifted in, carrying the scent of flowers and fresh grass.
Curious, Haruki walked toward the door and peeked outside.
And there she was.
Kyouko.
