"Wait, two questions," Lin Wu said. "If you’re going to the island, why do you need weapons?"

"What’s the difference between spending 180 days on an island and being in prison?" Blood Meng responded. "My Plan A is to grab a batch of weapons, then fly to Eastern Two Town. The town has an abandoned prison, where I can use my police chief status to gather the town’s officers and turn the prison into a headquarters. Eastern Two Town is over a hundred kilometers away from Day After Tomorrow City. It takes several days for the virus to spread, and during that time, I can use people to move the town’s supplies into the prison. At the very least, we’ll be able to hold out for a month or two. And if things go south, I can still leave by helicopter."

Blood Meng continued, "Struggling alone is too tiring, the best way is to enjoy the fruits of others’ adventures. To do that, you’ve got to have a gun in your hand."

Lin Wu said, "The second question, I have a fear of heights. I absolutely cannot climb from the 18th to the 34th floor."

"You’re not afraid of heights," Blood Meng retorted.

"I’m not lying to you," Lin Wu insisted.

Blood Meng laughed, bent down, and took out a big cardboard box from under the desk. He opened the box and pulled out a file. "Lin Wu, from Day After Tomorrow City, nicknamed Spiderman, used to be an extreme sports athlete, sentenced to 18 months in jail for theft and robbery."

Blood Meng turned the computer screen around, pressed play, and Lin Wu appeared on screen climbing a skyscraper without any safety measures. Lin Wu was stunned. "I never did that." Am I really that brave? Why don’t I know about this?
