Several minutes later, a convoy composed of two trucks entered the main road. A heavy machine gun was mounted on the top of each driver’s cabin. As the first vehicle approached the ambush zone, it slowed down, and the machine gun opened fire, wildly strafing the ground, setting off one landmine after another.

Soaring through the high skies, Little Fight had already locked onto the trucks. At Maya’s command, two rockets hurtled towards the vehicles. After the explosion, both trucks were wrecked, the two drivers were killed on the spot, and six armed individuals leaped from the vehicles, each grabbed a weapon, took cover behind the debris of the trucks, and began searching for the location of their ambushers.

Atop the base’s rooftop, Lin Wu blended into the snowy landscape with his white winter coat, reporting the current situation through binoculars. The trucks had stopped in the open area before the bridgehead, and the Alliance had no intention of leaving their vehicles. The six men were very cautious, using simple periscopes to survey the outside world without exposing themselves rashly.

Maya said, "They’re wasting time. This is an assault mission, and if time runs out, we’ll only score the basic points. Shana, initiate a feint."

Shana peeked out and opened fire on the trucks. After revealing the attackers’ positions, the six NPC immediately began suppressing the rocky area, advancing in two rows towards it, their firepower fierce, pinning down Shana and her two teammates from emerging.

Lin Wu shot down one enemy, who immediately retreated, and two others fired towards Lin Wu’s position, forcing him away from his shooting spot. This was the moment for Maya and Little Knife to act, cutting off the NPCs’ retreat to the trucks, forcing them to engage in a firefight prone on the snowy ground.

Of course, the NPCs were at a major disadvantage, but the combat prowess of these armed individuals was quite high; they consistently suppressed both the rocky area and the rooftop, preventing these two fire points from aiming and outputting effectively. Although Lin Wu frequently changed positions, there was only so much space. The players’ disadvantage lay in the rather long combat distance, which lowered shooting accuracy. Furthermore, a shortage of bullets was also a cause for concern, as each combatant didn’t have a full magazine.

Lin Wu retreated from the frontline position, recalled Little Fight, and after attaching an Incendiary Grenade, he once again deployed Little Fight. The launch wasn’t easy, with the rooftop covered in snow; it took all his effort to generate enough speed for the launch.
