Kingdom of Corrosion

The Alliance is an enemy of the Fortress within the system; its members are comprised of former Fortress mercenaries who, upon discovering they were betrayed and abandoned, united to form the Alliance and settled in the epidemic zone. They routinely attack the Fortress to acquire survival supplies.

After deciding to accept a task, task details would then be revealed. Once a task was accepted, one must either fail and face a fine or succeed and earn points; there was no option to give up. Before accepting a task, if one was dissatisfied, they could spend points to refresh the task. The first refresh cost only 100 points, the second cost 200 points, and then 400, 800... The points required for each task refresh would double.

"What rotten luck," Lin Meng lamented, "The toughest to deal with are the armed NPCs."

Shana said, "Haven’t we killed many Alliance NPCs?" She looked at Maya and Lin Wu. It was now dinner time for hot pot, and everyone gathered around the campfire to enjoy the delicacies.

Lin Wu: "Yeah, we killed too fiercely, leading the Alliance to ambush us. I remember Nightmare also took on a task to ambush an armored truck."

Maya nodded: "That’s right, at the Sawmill. We’ll wait for Little Fight to replenish rocket ammunition in the morning before taking on another task. Lin Meng, are the prices for your bullets high?"

Lin Meng responded: "Bullet prices are quite high, we usually get guns and bullets by completing tasks, generally not needing to purchase. Handgun bullets are 10 points each, five bullets cost as much as a can of tiny shrimp crackers."

Lin Wu asked, "What about rifles? 5.56?"

Lin Meng answered: "5.56 bullets are 15 points each."
