Snow Egg and Horse Soul used both hands to pull the zombie from the pile of corpses and dragged it to Little Knife’s feet. With swift kicks, Little Knife crushed the zombie’s helmet with one foot, and the next stomp burst its head along with the helmet. Lin Wu, having not seen Little Knife kick for many days, admired her versatility and was intimidated by the might of her feet.

Shana quickly grabbed a lasso and ran to Lin Wu’s side, tossing it to him. Continuing to swing the lasso, Lin Wu seemed to miss his throw but instead ensnared a Solar Demon. He immediately showed an expression that suggested he intended to catch the Solar Demon all along, but no one had the time to appreciate it as they pulled the demon under Little Knife’s feet, where it met its demise.

Lin Wu’s lasso throws became more accurate, all thanks to his stealth skill, which allowed him to strike zombies from a distance of 5 meters. Although far from the professional technique of cowboys who rode horses and swung lassos, for the utilitarian Lin Wu, it was already great. If it works, it’s good enough.

With the increasing accuracy of Lin Wu’s lasso, one zombie after another fell at Little Knife’s feet. Once the regular zombies were no longer providing cover, the few remaining Solar Demons had nowhere to hide from the drones’ scans and were completely eradicated with a few shots from the pistol. It took an hour and a half, but Shadow finally captured the helicopter.

Out of the 8 intact boxes, 7 contained a medkit, ammunition, fuel, and food, one each. There were two boxes of pistol ammo totaling 50 rounds, one Tracer Bullet magazine attachment, two professional suppressors, one advanced car repair kit, and four 3kg F4 (C) explosives.

The loot was good but not as much as everyone expected. When Lin Wu opened the last box, he found something resembling a gun but not quite a gun. It looked somewhat like a shotgun with a retractable stand, similar to a machine gun’s design. The barrel was thick and flanked by ammunition belts with six large bullets each. This was Lin Wu’s understanding of the gun.

Upon seeing this weapon, Maya’s eyes widened with surprise as she picked it up to examine it, "The M7 Grenade Launcher." She then educated everyone else about it. Grenade launchers were commonly used firearms in the latter half of the 20th century, with many standard guns equipped with grenade launcher attachments. They could fire both bullets and grenades, allowing for the targeting of enemies hidden in trenches or even light armored vehicles with parabolic grenade shots.

In the game, it was called a Grenade Launcher rather than an attachment, indicating the system recognized it as a gun and, therefore, at the base, it would enjoy unlimited grenades.

However, there is a downside to everything. There’s no arguing the killing power and area of effect of grenades. But since grenades are explosives, they create substantial noise and shrapnel from the explosion could damage the base’s facilities. For zombies, what mattered was the head, not the body, and dozens of shrapnel embedded in the body was not fatal.
